My wife, who hails from Massachusetts, and I have many "discussions" over the "proper way" to say certain words or what things should be called. As a Christian, our speech ought to give us away. People should be able to tell we are Christians by the way we talk. Our words should be in harmony with sound doctrine (Titus 2:1), proper for those who are God's saints (Eph 5:3), and all our behavior should in line with the holiness God expects of us (Titus 2:3). Our entire lifestyle should be worthy of the Gospel of Christ (Phil 1:27). Does our speech give us away?
