Several months ago, I wrote several posts about ideas of translation. I tried to make the point that literal translation does not necessarily mean the best translation. Here, for your enjoyment, is another example I captured in a bathroom in the Mexico City airport. It should be noted that the English translation at the right is very literal--- however, it makes little to no sense. It still amazes me that a multi-million dollar, newly-remodeled international airport can't find a native English speaker to help them produce signage. What a relief to know that "this bath have to remain without bad smell."
